The Vickery Meadow Improvement District utilizes its Community Service Programs to produce and coordinate community enrichment activities and events, develop and nurture community relationships and support, as well as to disseminate and publish information in an effort to foster a sense of community. We also work to cultivate resident leadership and participation in community programs and events to empower residents to engage in civic participation and to be aware of needs in the community to strengthen involvement in community issues on a long-term basis. It is important to us that families feel good about living here in Vickery Meadow.

 

            Community Enrichment Activities and Events: Identify funding sources to provide special needs and programs for the

            Vickery Meadow residents. These events attract families and a host of community services to promote health, literacy,

            counseling, and many other valuable services available at no charge to the participants.

 

            Developing Community Relationships: By developing partnerships and collaboration with other community

            organizations, VMID increases its ability to help build sustainable communities. These outreach efforts help meet the

            varied and changing needs of the Vickery Meadow Community.

 

            Disseminating and Publishing Information: Communities that are economically and socially disadvantaged are often not

            aware of the services and programs available to them. VMID attempts at reaching those unaware by distributing and

            publishing information.
