A major goal of the Vickery Meadow Improvement District is to improve and enhance the properties within our community. We want residents to be proud to call Vickery Meadow home. Our organization emphasizes that all properties should be maintained in good condition, and comply with existing Dallas City Codes. We work with the City of Dallas and the Code Enforcement Department in reporting and monitoring non-compliance violations.
The Vickery Meadow Improvement District partners with residential and commercial property owners to improve security, lighting, landscaping and code compliance on neighborhood properties. We work with the City Attorney's Office, the City Manager's Office, the Code Compliance Department, and the SAFE Team of the Dallas Police Department in identifying, monitoring, and resolving code violations affecting safety, health, security, and property appearance.
History has shown us that there is a high degree of correlation between neglected multi-family properties and their need for substantial police services. To better understand this concept, the Vickery Meadow Improvement District has created a Police Service Index to grade and rank all 94 Vickery Meadow Multi-Family properties in their need and usage of police service. This index is updated yearly, and is hared with future residents, the Dallas Police Department, and the City of Code Enforcement Department. The index assists as a non-subjective measuring devise to determine our quality properties and identify properties in need of intervention.
